What is “An Audience with Joe”?

Formula 1 is a fascinating world but it is not very socially-inclusive. Fans are left with little chance to meet and talk to the people who are involved and to find out some of the things that are really going on. In an effort to create a little more "social networking" in Formula 1 this year I am intending to hold events at a number of Grands Prix and indeed any where where 100 fans can gather who would appreciate a drink or two and a chat about the sport. This year we are trying various different formats, including events away from races, at different hours and different days, plus different formats, including celebrity guests and different prices. The core of the event remains the same, however, with an introductory chat, questions and answers and then afterwards a chance to talk informally on any subject you care to mention.

Talking about Formula 1 is my idea of fun and I hope to do that with as many of you as possible in an enjoyable and convivial atmosphere. Watch out for announcements of future events near you.

If you would like to propose an event, feel free to do so.

What the fans think:

"I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope there’s another London one soon."    - The Mink

"Just got back from the evening – which was absolutely excellent. Joe was on sparkling form and massively entertaining – and at nearly three hours of talking, you certainly got your money’s worth! Joe's answers to the audience’s questions were always funny, insightful, and on many occasions highly revealing. There was time for a number of the people in the audience, including me, to ask multiple questions – which was wonderful. Whatever he was asked he had an entertaining view and, more to the point, a lot of insider evidence to support it." - Bostonracing

"Good fun. Very enjoyable evening indeed." - Leigh O'Gorman

"Great evening, thanks very much Joe for making my Dad’s 70th birthday present exactly what he wanted, a thoroughly engaging evening about F1." - Roy Knaggs

"It did indeed go very well – past 11 p.m. and there were still questions and much discussion. A great start to An Evening With Joe." - Canehan

"Just wanted to say that we all had a wonderful evening. If Spa is an option then I’d not think twice about doing it again. Great to meet you and I look forward to delving into The Grand Prix Saboteurs." - Bassano

"A superb evening, with great stories and frank opinions. It just didn’t seem long enough." - Gilles Villeneuve Fan
